Each mixed clay pot and coaster is handmade by an artisan family in Ráquira in Colombia. They made using the "mixed clay technique". The artisan uses white and red clay together and this creates the beautiful marble effect. The little terracotta coasters are made on the potter's wheel by Señor Carlos Sierra and his family.
